SUPER TASTY BACON WRAPPED PORK LOIN
This super tasty bacon wrapped pork loin is probably one of the easiest and super delicious recipes you will ever make!
This bad boy is a total crowd pleaser that not only looks and tastes amazing but it can be prepared in advance as well.
I recently had the opportunity to try and create recipes with a locally made barbecue sauce company, Five Monkeys BBQ Sauce.
This sauce has has a short list of ingredients, which makes you feel good about incorporating the sauce into your recipes and putting it into your body.
Five Monkeys BBQ Sauce literally only has eleven listed ingredients resulting in a slightly tangy, perfectly smokey and beautiful consistency sauce.
- 1 ½ Pounds Pork Tenderloin
- 1-Pound Apple Wood Smoked Bacon
- 2 Small Maui Onions (aka Sweet Onions), quartered
- 1 Cup Diced Butternut Squash
- 8-12 Small Potatoes
- 1-2 tsp. Grape Seed Oil
- 1 ½ tsp. Christopher Ranch Garlic, crushed
- ¼ cup Apricot Preserve
- ¼ cup Five Monkeys BBQ Sauce
- 1 tbsp. Worstershire Sauce
- 1 ½ tbsp. JTS BBQ Spice Honey Rub
- Salt & Pepper
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Remove pork from fridge and sprinkle entire loin with Honey Rub. Wrap with bacon and secure with toothpicks or string (your preference). Place Back in the fridge to set.
Cut veggies and toss with Grape Seed Oil and a liberal amount of Salt and Pepper.
Heat skillet on medium high until it smokes. Place bacon wrapped pork loin on skillet and sear all sides. Remove and set aside.
Place sliced, prepared veggies in skillet and sauté for five (5) minutes with juices and oils from the pork loin.
Make a well in the center of the pan to place your pork loin. Once the loin has been placed, pour glaze over the entire loin and place in the oven.
Roast for 25-30 minutes.
You can check the internal temperature with a thermometer and make sure it is at least 150 degrees.
